MGE and iPro Inc. introduce new free to play mobile app “Mohegan Sun Beyond”

Connecticut-based developer and operator of premier global integrated entertainment resorts, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE), has together with mobile and online gaming technology and platform company iPro Inc., announced a multi-year partnership for the two company’s joint effort, Mohegan Sun Beyond, a new mobile application.

The new app, that is available for download now via the Apple and Google Play application stores, will provide guests of MGE’s flagship property in Uncasville with an ‘enhanced mobile and online gaming experience.’

According to the Thursday press release…

Guests of the federally recognized Mohegan Tribe-operated destination in southeastern Connecticut can now experience ‘free-to-play casino-style games and sportsbook’ from home or out and about, while at the same time earning Momentum loyalty dollars that can be used for future visits to Mohegan Sun casino and resorts.

Commenting on the new Mohegan Sun Beyond app, Chief Executive Officer for Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, Mario Kontomerkos, said…

Kontomerkos, who served as MGE’s Chief Financial Officer since September of 2011, replaced Mitchell Etess as the company’s CEO in October 2016.

According to the press release, iPro will, in the coming months, expand the platform to provide additional hotel and resort services for the huge Uncasville location. The app could potentially include such features as online booking, mobile check-in and the ability for guests to unlock their hotel room doors with a mobile phone. Mohegan Sun Beyond is also programmed for future real-money betting.

The digital gaming efforts of MGE include and range from sports betting, online gaming and play for fun options that are offered across the company’s four properties including Canada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (Mohegan Sun Pocono) and Connecticut.

GEK Terna endeavor:

Earlier this month, MGE revealed that it has partnered with Greek construction conglomerate, GEK Terna, to lodge a bid that would see the pair bring a casino to a planned €8 billion ($9 billion) redevelopment of the nation’s former Ellinikon International Airport, that is situated approximately four miles south of central Athens. The yet to be named project would reportedly create thousands of jobs as well as multiple benefits for the Greek economy.

South Korea project:

MGE is also planning to open the first phase of its $5 billion Project Inspire development in South Korea during the first quarter of 2021, reporting in May this year that it is making progress, having obtained all the necessary construction permits and approvals for the first phase of the development.
